Hiking Portland, Oregon
Although our hike in Portland didn’t go far, we recommend another great hike if you enjoy urban hiking.
If you read our story about hiking Washington during our 50 Hikes 50 States Hiking Project, our Oregon hike’s story is even worse. We don’t have one picture of our weekend event from Oregon. Because, frankly, I didn’t taken any photos inside the Portland airport.

3000 steps is about the amount of hiking we did in Oregon on this trip. And that was from the terminal to the rental car and back.
We had planned to hike the Trail of 10 Falls in Silver Falls State Park, but we couldn’t even leave the parking lot of the hotel in Vancouver, WA.
We did find a can of whipped cream when we went on an urban hike to Safeway. This entertained us for the whole weekend. That, and some dark chocolate almonds from Sees Candies. And cable. It was Valentine’s Day weekend, after all.
Fortunately, though, we had been to Oregon previously, and we’ve got a hike to share from that trip. Please enjoy this urban hike in Portland where you’ll also find some great food and great bookstores!
