OhMyGod, Yummy, Chewy Granola Bars

If you’re in need of a great, chewy granola bar that hits the spot along the trail, whip up a batch of these yummy happiness makers! From Diane Germain, used with permission.

Diane’s AHmazing Chewy Granola Bars

1 C brown sugar
¼ C sugar
½ C butter-soft
2 T honey
½ t vanilla
1 egg
1 C flour
1 t cinnamon
½ t baking powder
¼ t salt
1 ½ C rolled oats
1 ½ C crisp rice cereal
1 C chopped almonds
½ c chocolate chips
½ c wheat germ

 Pre-heat oven to 350’, grease 9×13 pan

 Mix sugars

Blend in honey, vanilla and egg.

Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.

By hand stir in the remaining ingredients.

 Press in pan.

Bake 20-25 minutes, cool and cut in bars.
